Choose from a variety of water-sport to land-based activities that will guarantee your encounter with elephants, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, and over 300 different species of birds!

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Lilongwe

Welcome to Malawi! Your guide will meet you at Lilongwe International Airport and transfer you to your accommodation of choice. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

The Old Town in Lilongwe, with its exciting street and walled markets, has maintained the appearance of a traditional African settlement, while the City has much in common with other African twentieth century urban developments. An interesting attraction is the Kamuzu Academy, founded by the President Dr Hastings Banda and sometimes referred to as the "Eton of Africa".

Dinner included.

Day 2-4: South Luangwa National Park

After breakfast, you will continue to South Luangwa National Park. Bordering the Luangwa River, the Northern & Southern areas of Luangwa National Park contain some of the most breathtaking and untouched wilderness in Africa. As a result of this and the parks’ successful anti-poaching campaigns, the area has developed into a world-renowned wildlife haven. The South Luangwa National Park is renowned for its walking safari, which allows visitors to view elephant, hippo and even lion close-up under the supervision of professional and knowledgeable armed guides.

Enjoy activities on site from Game-viewing, walking safaris, and bird-watching to nearby activities such as cultural visits, hiking, and cultural tours.

Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

Day 5-7: Cape Maclear

Continue to Cape Maclear after breakfast. Located on the southern shore of Lake Malawi at the tip of the Nankumba Peninsula, Cape Maclear is a little resort town surrounded by mountains and set within Lake Malawi National Park. This town features an array of beachside bars and local restaurants in a spectacularly scenic setting of golden sand beaches lapped by dazzling turquoise water. Cape Maclear is a Robinson-Crusoe paradise, making it a sought after tourist destination.

Kayak over to the nearby Thumbi island and spot the majestic fish eagle, sail across the lake and catch a picturesque African sunset, or scuba dive into the crystal-clear depths of the lake, which boasts some of the best freshwater diving in the world. Other popular activities include: bird watching, windsurfing, hiking, swimming or shopping in the local craft markets as well as island tours and guided village walks.

Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.
