It all starts in Osaka: be enchanted by city’s majestic feudal castle and taste your way around town with a lively Dotonbori street food experience. See Nara Park, filled with tame Sika deer. Then, take a stroll through time as you immerse in the beauty of Kyoto’s Golden Pavilion, Fushimi Inari and the surreal Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, before a visit to the Nagoya Ninja Museum.
Take in the delightful natural scenery at Gotemba Peace Park — where you can see Mount Fuji at its finest (weather dependent), before free time to explore Tokyo’s eclectic nightlife, vibrant cafes and bustling streets. Day 1 - Arrive Osaka
Konnichiwa, and welcome to Japan. Osaka is known as Japan’s food bowl, where glittering lights and soaring signs reflect on the shimmering Osaka River and the sizzle of cooking takoyaki fills the air.

Day 2 - Osaka – Nara – Kyoto
This morning meet your guide at 8am in the hotel lobby for an 8.30am departure. Today you will take in some of the city’s best landmarks, including Osaka Castle. Japanese samurai Toyotomi Hideyoshi once intended the castle to become the centre of a new, unified Japan under Toyotomi rule. Continue to busy Dotonbori walkway, painted bright with neon signs and home to myriad food vendors. Afterward, head to Shin Osaka Station where you’ll hop on a bullet train to Kyoto. Once arrived, continue by coach to Nara, where you will explore Todai-ji, a massive wooden temple containing one of Japan’s largest bronze buddhas. Stroll the grounds as tame Sika deer wander, cosy up in corners and sneakily nudge your hands for a treat. Conclude your day returning to Kyoto, a time capsule of laneways filled with tea houses, izakayas and geisha – if you can spot them vanishing down the back alleys.

Day 3 - Kyoto
Today, visit Fushimi Inari Shrine and Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion thanks to the gold leaf that coats its top two floors. Watch its dazzling reflection dance across the pond as you learn about the tumultuous history and spiritual importance of this spectacular work of design. Next, visit Arashiyama and walk through the swaying stalks of the Bamboo Grove, listening to the gentle clacking as you crane your neck toward the canopy. Conclude your day at Tenryu-ji, Kyoto’s most cherished Zen temple. Meander through the carefully designed gardens, strolling around the central pond and taking in the view of the nearby Arashiyama Mountains before visiting Gion, Kyoto’s famous geisha district.

Day 4 - Kyoto – Nagoya – Hamamatsu
Following breakfast, journey to the Iga-ryu Ninja Museum, where you’ll unravel the enigmatic secrets of ancient ninja arts, shrouded in mystery and intrigue. Delve into their stealthy techniques, uncovering the skills that once defined these elusive figures. Continue to the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology in Nagoya for an insider look at the evolution of the automobile industry. Finish in Hamamatsu, where you will have the evening at leisure.

Day 5 - Hamamatsu – Obuchi Sasaba – Gotemba Peace Park – Tokyo
Depart Hamamatsu as you set off for Tokyo. Stop near the blanketed green tea fields of Obuchi Sasaba for breathtaking Mount Fuji vistas, before continuing to Gotemba Peace Park, where you can stroll around the manicured gardens while taking in the awe-inspiring beauty of Mount Fuji from a different perspective. Afterward, continue to Tokyo for an evening in one of the world’s greatest metropolises.

Day 6 - Tokyo
Your day begins in the historic Asakusa district, window-shopping along Nakamise Shopping Street on your way to Tokyo’s oldest temple, Senso-ji. Continue to Tsukiji Outer Market – a bustling hub selling fresh seafood and other local delicacies. Your whirlwind city tour continues as you ascend to Tokyo Tower’s observation deck for panoramic views of the urban sprawl. To finish, scramble amongst the crowds at Shibuya Crossing – an experience for the brave. Conclude your tour with a transfer back to your hotel for a final night’s rest.

Day 7 - Depart Tokyo
After one final breakfast, it’s time to say sayonara to Japan.
Departure & Transfers:
Checkout on your final day is at 11am. Please book your flights to depart from Tokyo International Airport (HND) or Tokyo Narita Airport (NRT) at any time. Airport transfers are not included for your tour. The hotel is located approximately a 15-minute drive from Tokyo International Airport (HND) or one hour from Tokyo Narita Airport (NRT).
