Description:

Eastern Caribbean & Transatlantic Crossing ex New York to Southampton - aboard Cunard's Queen Mary 2 - from $3181 per person.

Welcome to Queen Mary 2 - the grandest, most magnificent ocean liner ever built. She's a true heir to the timeless elegance, legacy and inspiration of the great Cunard liners of legend. You'll notice it the moment you walk through her doors into her soaring Grand Lobby, and be awed from the first instance you experience the famous Cunard White Star ServiceSM.

Yet this sophisticated monarch also boasts the most modern luxuries and amenities - from the pampering services of the only Canyon Ranch SpaClub® on the seas to the fascinating Oxford DiscoverySM enrichment programme led by professors from the University of Oxford and other prestigious experts. This regal royal must truly be seen to be believed - come live the adventure.

Highlights of this cruise:

St. Thomas, Virgin Islands U.S.
An island of towering cliffs and mangrove swamp, not to mention one of the most perfect of all Caribbean beaches at heart-shaped Magens Bay. In Charlotte Amalie, named after a Danish princess, discover red brick Fort Christian and Blackbeard Castle – claimed by some to be the pirate’s former lookout. Most, however, simply seek out their own bounty in copious duty free stores.

St Kitts
Its capital may be French in name, but St Kitts, along with neighbouring Nevis, is actually the Caribbean’s oldest British colony. We stop at beautiful Basseterre, whose Georgian centrepiece is the Circus, modelled on Piccadilly, with its charming Victorian clock. This scenic island looks simply stunning from the Fortress of Brimstone Hill. Volcanic slopes, verdant sugar cane and neighbouring islands are on view.

Barbados
Sample the unique British flavour as you stroll through historic Bridgetown, also referred to as ‘Little England’ and enjoy Bridgetown’s unique combination of colonial tradition and Caribbean vibrancy. The ribbons of welcoming sand which arc down the Platinum Coast remain a huge draw on this Caribbean favourite.

Phillipsburg, St Maarten
What a setting – perched on a narrow strip of land between clear Caribbean Sea and the Great Salt Pond. This Caribbean gem is all about choice. From Phillipsburg stroll along the inland salt lake or head for the gorgeous city beach. Search the quaint clothes boutiques or browse for duty-free bargains. It’s entirely up to you

New York
From your first glimpse of the classic skyline to the jostling yellow cabs, the sardonic citizens, and the extraordinary joie de vivre – New York bombards the senses from every direction. Why not stay a little longer to absorb the Big Apple’s unique energy from Greenwich Village to Broadway, Wall Street to Central Park and the iconic Statue of Liberty.

Southampton, United Kingdom
The United Kingdom's premier passenger ship port, Southampton was home to the great transatlantic liners of yesteryear. The port serves as your gateway to Southern England’s magnificent historic sites, national landmarks, charming villages as well as the great metropolis of London. Southampton is the ideal starting or ending point for a memorable voyage.
