This 14 day guided tour commences Philadelphia and concludes in Boston. Join us as we tour two of the best flower shows in North America. Explore the beauty of Boston and New England and visit two the world class flower shows at Philadelphia and Boston.
Day 1: Philadelphia.
Arrival assistance and transfer to hotel. Welcome dinner included tonight. o/n Philadelphia. D
Day 2: Philadelphia Flower and garden show.
This morning we transfer by coach to the Philadelphia Flower Show at the Pennsylvania Convention Centre. Enjoy the contribution that flowers make to our lives. The Florists Transworld Delivery World Cup, held at the show, is one of the world’s most prestigious floral design competitions. Our tour includes entrance to the Flower Show. o/n Philadelphia. B
Day 3: Philadelphia, Independence Hall and Liberty Bell.
This morning we have a guided Historic City tour including entrance to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell building. Afternoon at leisure to explore or relax. o/n Philadelphia. B
Day 4: Lancaster County.
Our tour guide explains points of interest as we travel by coach from Philadelphia to Lancaster via Brandywine Valley. We visit Nemours Mansion and Gardens and Henry Francis Dupont's Winterthur House, Gardens and Galleries as well as Longwood Gardens. Tonight we have our included dinner in Lancaster. o/n Lancaster. B, D
Day 5: Dutch country, Amish community.
Today we have a sightseeing tour including entrance to the Amish House, One-Room School at Bird in Hand, and a buggy ride with a stop to visit an Amish farm. B
Day 6: New York.
Depart Lancaster for New York City where we have a half day orientation tour. Tonight our included dinner will be close to Times Square. o/n New York. B, D
Day 7: New York free day.
Explore New York at leisure. Overnight New York. B
Day 8: Boston
Depart New York for Boston via Newport Rhode Island with sightseeing en route. On arrival in Boston, we have a city tour. At Newport, Rhode Island and entrance to The Breakers - the Vanderbilts' 1893 gilded age mansion. Dinner (included) tonight is at a local restaurant. o/n Boston. B, D
Day 9: Boston Tea Party.
This morning we visit the famous Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum. The balance of day free to explore or relax. B
Day 10: Boston Flower and Garden Show.
Today we visit the famous Boston Flower and Garden Show held at the Seaport World Trade Centre. This March the Boston Flower and Garden Show’s designers, exhibitors and marketplace vendors are working toward the season ahead. Colourful gardens, intricate floral arrangements, informative lectures, demonstrations and exciting special events will incorporate elements of the popular food gardening trend. Learn about organics, small-space gardens, homesteading hobbies, edibles as ornamentals and family-friendly spaces for outdoor dining and entertaining. The show is about inspiring, educating and motivating gardeners, including curb appeal, backyard, kitchen, indoor, rooftop and community gardens. Enjoy the first taste of spring while gathering the recipes and ingredients you’ll need for this year’s successful garden. o/n Boston. B
Day 11: Martha’s Vineyard.
Depart Boston for a full day excursion to Martha's Vineyard. Includes Ferry Round Trip and entrance to the Martha's Vineyard Museum. o/n Boston. B
Day 12: Portland, Brunswick, Coastal New England.
We depart Boston for a full day tour to Portland and the Maine Coastline including the Eartha rotating globe in Yarmouth and Bowdoin College Museum Of Art In Brunswick. o/n Boston. B
Day 13: Boston. Niagara Falls.
Free day or take an optional tour to Niagara Falls. Farewell dinner (included) tonight.
Overnight Boston. B, D
Day 14: Boston
Tour concludes after breakfast and morning transfer to the airport. B
